Hopkins Chances

The unofficial at-large standing is 12th behind 4 ACC teams (Duke, UVA, Syracuse and Notre Dame), 3 IVY (Penn, Yale, Cornell), 2 Big-Ten (Penn State, Maryland), and Towson and Loyola. Since up to 4 of thos probably will get the AQ, JHU at-large probability is high.

Current RPI, SOS and QW rankings are: 11, 4 and 17.

Should Hopkins lose to Maryland next week: their rankings become 11, 2 and 19 where theirr SOS goes up and your QW goes down and their at-large position remains at 12.

Should Hopkins defeat Maryland again, their rankings are 7, 2 and 14 where your RPI and QW moves up. This would give Hopkins an 8th at-large position. Now if JHU loses in the championship game, their SOS (regardless) will improve and their RPI and QW will not move significantly.

Summary: Hopkins probably will get an at-large bid regardless of the B10 tournament and a win against Maryland will probably get Hopkins a home-field first round game against probably a ninth seed.
